I very much want to learn how to program a useful iPhone .app. I know, I know — I’m not the only one at all, seems to be the buzz all around town these days. I have been following the Stanford lecture on iTunes U which is a huge help. Actually only made it through 1.25 lectures as I have been watching them on the elliptical @ the gym so I need to sit down and walk through the examples more to get a better understanding. So far I am really impressed with the development environment.

Since going Mac over a year ago, I have been really impressed with the applications both in look and functionality. Every application that I have used has a certain look and feel and I have been trying to put my finger on exactly what is so ‘cool’ about them all. Granted they are intuitive and functional, there is certain aspect which is so appealing and I think now that it comes from the dev. environment. The application stack for the iPhone and OSX is also clear and logical. Not to mention there is a *NIX core that is comfortable.

Hopefully things will progress in somewhat of a speedy manner.

Downloaded the other day from eMusic: Troublemakers ‘Doubts & Convictions’. Nice production and overall composition, though not as hard-hitting as some of DJ Shadow’s work, similar flow in certain spaces. So far the music sits in the background quite nicely while working as well.

Fresh start, new server, new version of WordPress. Going to try to mix portfolio and web work with hopefully regular posts. Well see what happens. See you in about six months when I remmeber to post again.
